
Mr. Travis Bartley
Science Teacher
Mr. Bartley graduated from Virginia Military Institute with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He later earned a Master of Arts in Religion degree from Liberty Theological Seminary. He has taught just about every class in middle and high school in more than 15 years of teaching, mostly at Jefferson Christian Academy in Virginia. Other experiences have deepened his interest in science, including working at an American Red Cross lab. He has taught in children’s ministry at his church for more than 20 years.
Mr. Bartley has been married to his amazing wife for 26 years, and they have three daughters. Favorite activities for family time, rest, and relaxation include reading, hiking, visiting the national parks, vacationing at Holden Beach, visiting family, traveling, walking through select museums and reading the signs, camping, campfires (backyard or backcountry), paddling in a river or lake, playing board games, watching various sports (particularly baseball and basketball), enjoying outdoor activities of his daughters’ choice, and attending shopping outings.
