Pre-K English
This course is designed to develop foundational literacy skills in young learners, focusing on letter recognition from Aa-Zz and the alphabetical arrangement of letters A-P. Students will learn to recognize their names, recall and infer details from stories, and dictate sentences for adults to transcribe. The curriculum emphasizes phonemic awareness, encouraging students to identify rhyming words and use letter-sound associations for all letters. Additionally, students will learn to use color words accurately and interpret a variety of fables, tales, and rhymes. Sequencing story events and reviewing both letter-sound associations and color words are key components, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging approach to early literacy development.
