6th Grade English
This course communicates the importance of proper language use and the value of reading. Throughout the course, students will be introduced to a number of literary forms including fiction and nonfiction, news and propaganda, poetry, and advertising. Reading, grammar, vocabulary, and literature are integrated to round out the subject matter. Literacy has a new meaning in the digital age. Not only do students need to learn the English language, but they must be able to communicate using technology. In this course, students examine media and its presence in God's universe.
